Help us reach 1 million homes with God's love this Christmas.

  • Christmas can be a joyous time to be with friends and family in celebration of God’s goodness and provision throughout the year. But for many people around us, Christmas has become merely a cultural holiday and a celebration of materialism.

    Our desire is to help you Share the Good News of Christmas with those people in your community who have not embraced the gospel, and invite them to fellowship with your church family at your Christmas service. By joining communities together through the Share the Good News of Christmas campaign, our hope is that this Christmas would be a time when people around us who have no understanding of who Jesus is would discover the real reason for joy at Christmas.

  • Rally your family members, small groups, and Sunday school classes to bring the gospel to your community this year. As you visit your neighbors’ homes to wish them “Merry Christmas,” Crossway encourages you to hand them a cheerful Share the Good News of Christmas door-hanger bag which includes the following:

    • ESV Outreach New Testament Christmas Edition
    • The Good News of Christmas tract by Max Lucado
    • A Free Gift (30 days of free access to the ESV Online Study Bible)
    • A customizable invitation to attend your church’s Christmas service

    There are 3 simple steps to participate:

    • 1. Order — Visit your local Christian bookstore and purchase your Share the Good News of Christmas kits. Each “kit” includes 50 complete door-hanger bags with the components listed above. To find the closest Christian retailer in your area, visit www.christianstores.org.

    • 2. Customize the invitations — To add your church’s information (church address, service times, etc.) to the invitations, you can download a template at www.goodnewsofchristmas.org/#downloads and print out the invitations on your copy machine or printer. You can also write out the invitations by hand, using the hard copies provided in each kit.

      An invitation needs to be placed in each bag before they’re handed out, so have some fun with it! Invite your small group or Sunday school class for a bag-stuffing party and get the bags ready to go.

    • 3. Go — Share the Good News of Christmas with your neighbors by visiting their homes and gifting them with a bag. Feel free to be creative and enjoy the experience! You an also hand out the bags when you go caroling, have Christmas parties, host children’s church events, and more! As you visit each home and hand out each bag, ask God to transform lives through his son, Jesus Christ.

    • Facebook Be sure to join the Share the Good News of Christmas Facebook group and share ideas about how your church might creatively implement this campaign, as well as stories and pictures of how God is working in your community and your church as we step out in faith together.
